Aero Technic BG has successfully completed a technically demanding sliding window frame repair on an Airbus A319 aircraft — a project that required detailed preparation, structural precision and strong coordination between several specialized teams.
The task involved the replacement of a sliding window frame in the cockpit area, a structural zone where accuracy, access and controlled execution are essential. This type of repair was performed for the first time within our practice, making the project an important milestone in the continued development of our technical capability.
From the beginning, it was clear that this would not be a standard repair activity. The work required significant access to the affected area, including the removal of interior panels, cockpit equipment and related components. Although this preparation stage is often less visible, it is a crucial part of the process, as it creates the conditions for safe, controlled and precise structural work.
Once access was secured, the structural team proceeded with the careful removal of the existing construction. This included the removal of fasteners, preparation of the surrounding structure and cleaning of the contact surfaces before the new frame could be installed.
The installation of the new sliding window frame required high precision and full alignment with the applicable manufacturer specifications and approved maintenance documentation. The process included accurate positioning, temporary fixation, final riveting and sealing of the repaired area in order to restore its structural and functional integrity.
Each step demanded close attention to detail, as even small deviations in this area may affect the correct fit, sealing and long-term performance of the structure. The successful completion of the repair was the result of careful planning, disciplined execution and effective communication between the departments involved.
This project represents more than a completed repair. It is a clear example of Aero Technic BG's ability to take on new technical challenges, expand its know-how and strengthen its position as a reliable MRO partner for complex aircraft maintenance tasks.
Behind every successful "first time" achievement are the people who make it possible — their knowledge, precision and professionalism. This repair is another step forward in the development of our team and our growing structural repair capabilities.
