Aero Technic BG is proud to announce that the company has received a Class A Investment Certificate from the Bulgarian Investment Agency for its investment project “Aircraft Maintenance Hangar – AERO TECHNIC BG” in Sofia.
The certificate recognizes one of the most significant development projects in the company’s history — the construction of a new, larger and high-technology aircraft maintenance hangar designed to expand Aero Technic BG’s operational capacity and support the growing demand for reliable MRO services.
The new facility will significantly increase the company’s aircraft maintenance capacity by adding 5 to 8 new maintenance lines, depending on aircraft type. This expansion marks an important step in Aero Technic BG’s long-term strategy to strengthen its position as a leading aircraft maintenance provider in Bulgaria, the region and the wider European aviation market.
The certified investment under the project amounts to BGN 31,000,000, equivalent to EUR 15,850,048. The total volume of the investment, including construction, equipment and land acquisition, exceeds EUR 50 million.
As part of the project, Aero Technic BG plans to create 125 new jobs for highly qualified specialists. This reflects the company’s ongoing commitment not only to infrastructure and technology, but also to the development of aviation talent, technical expertise and long-term professional opportunities in Bulgaria.
The new aircraft maintenance hangar is designed as a modern, large-scale and innovative facility that will support base maintenance operations and enable Aero Technic BG to meet the needs of a growing international customer base. The project will further strengthen the company’s ability to provide high-quality, flexible and technically reliable aircraft maintenance services.
As an established MRO organization, Aero Technic BG continues to provide base and line maintenance services, non-destructive testing, borescope inspections, logistics and material support, as well as aircraft teardown and part-out services. The new hangar will allow the company to build on this expertise and expand its service capabilities in line with the highest standards of the aviation maintenance industry.
